Cytomegalovirus is a persistent virus widespread in the population that causes increasing problems with aging through its degradation of the immune system. This is one of several important viruses that all researchers should strive to regularly eliminate as reinfection is common.

A fellow researcher has provided clinical studies showing the widespread prevalence of cytomegalovirus related to both cancer and HIV is likely due to vaccination contamination.

Human cytomegalovirus is a species of the Cytomegalovirus genus of viruses, which in turn is a member of the viral family known as Herpesviridae or herpesviruses. It is typically abbreviated as HCMV or, commonly but more ambiguously, as CMV. It is also known as human herpesvirus-5 (HHV-5). Within Herpesviridae, HCMV belongs to the Betaherpesvirinae subfamily, which also includes cytomegaloviruses from other mammals.
